A rare experiance to Genting HIghlands... (My learning experiance) - Aiminath Afrah Mukthaar -

The trip started with the hot sun burning above our heads..We started our journey from Taylors lakeside collage. By car we went to kelana Jaya LRT station. We took the LRT, Light Rail Transit from the KL Sentral Station as we were supposed to catch the bus that goes to Genting. Unfortunately, we arrived late and missed it. The next bus from KL Sentral to Genting was in hours which completely did not agree with our plan. So we thought of another option of going to the Gombak station to get on to the next earliest bus to Genting. As for my very first experience in the skyway cable car it was a remarkable journey and the splendid view was worth an experience.

I learned that these kind of trips or study outings needs a very definite arrangement. In other words a fixed and planned schedule. The time we all decided to depart from Taylors Lakeside campus did not give us the time to gather everything and reach the Kl Sental at the time we planned on it. I also believe that having a back-up plan, in case if something to goes wrong can be handy, like missing the bus or the bus breaking down. It is also important to note down that as for me, the Genting Express Bus services was substandard. The coordinators were discourteous. They did not help the boys in our group with the bags, to situate the bags in the compartment outside and was giving wrong instructions which was very rude and not professional.

I realised the importance of working together and the values of team work and sticking together along the way and thinking of the best options when things do not turn out the way we accept it to be. Our group members were fun and very helpful and we all managed to ask everyone how they feel about what was happening and we took all of their advice and thoughts throughout the whole journey to Genting.

To conclude with I would say overall, the journey to Genting was an entertaining trip where we learned to deal with problems and issues that may arise during such a situations and it was very educational as well. I would like to thank our very much respected lecturer, Ms. Madelyn who made this all possible and gave us the licence to experience a challenge.

Thank you.
